Myers was a critical component to Seattle's Super Bowl success. Sam Darnold and the Seahawks offense experienced periods of stagnation throughout the campaign. The 2025 NFL scoring leader consistently put points on the board. In fact, he tied for the league's second-best single-season performance ever with 41 made field goals. Myers converted at least three field-goal attempts in nine different games, including a season-best six during an 18-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15. He punctuated the championship campaign with five field goals during Super Bowl LX. Myers wasn't perfect with five misses from 40 yards and beyond, as well as two inside 40 yards, but those mistakes are forgotten based on how the season ended.

Interestingly, the Dolphins signed a pair of kickers this offseason. Of the two, Patterson is coming off a better season. The 26-year-old specialist was particularly effective beyond 40 yards. In fact, he converted all 11 attempts between 40 and 50 yards and missed only one from a longer distance. Overall, Patterson converted 93.1 percent of last season's field goal attempts and all but one extra point—which is quite impressive considering he was a fill-in for the injured Jason Sanders. Miami may have brought in competition, but last year's kicker should be considered the favorite to win the job based on what was seen a season ago.

Piñeiro earned the opportunity to kick for the Niners this fall after joining the team heading into Week 2 of last season. The veteran specialist, who bounced between six different teams prior to his latest stop, replaced a former third-round draft pick in Jake Moody because of the young kicker's maddening inconsistency. Piñeiro posted a career high 96.6 field percent conversion rate—not including the 2021 season when he appeared in only five games—missing only one attempt beyond 50 yards. As a result, the 30-year-old signed a new four-year contract extension this offseason. Though a little more consistency after missing four extra points would be beneficial.

Quality kickers can play forever. Folk is the latest example in a long-line of successful specialists whose careers extended into their 40s. A strong argument could be made that Folk was the New York Jets' best player in 2025. Now, the 41-year-old joins the Falcons after signing a two-year contract. Folk missed only one field-goal attempt last season, which came from beyond 50 yards. In fact, he converted over 95 percent of his attempts in each of the last three seasons. The aging kicker may not have a booming leg like so many of the NFL's younger specialists, but he's as savvy and consistent as they get. Plus, an opportunity to kick in Atlanta's dome certainly helps.
